About Sallyanne Lowe MA (RCA)

With a passion for making and metalwork from a very young age, I trained as a goldsmith at London's Central St. Martins school of art and then the Royal College of Art in the 1990's. My interest in wax carving and modelling led to time as an architectural model maker, before developing my own jewellery brand in Clerkenwell, London's jewellery quarter, in 1996.

Now established as a precious jeweller working in the finest materials and gemstones, I work in vibrant and artistic South London. My collections always include fine detail with a high level of craftsmanship. I enjoy creating innovative metal surface textures, sometimes carving intricate patterns, developed first in jewellers wax, and then cast in precious metal. I also often use hand hammering and forging techniques.

Inspired by the nature of Londons green spaces, I juxtapose these textures onto strong geometric forms inspired by the urban landscape of the city. London provides endless inspiration, as does my love for coloured gems - the colour palettes of green and red Tourmaline, deep blue and pink Sapphire, Aquamarine, and diamonds are a joy to work with.

The result is jewellery subtle enough for everyday wear, but with a strong designer aesthetic. It is my ethos to make jewellery which is both wearable and timeless. A wonderful and everlasting memento to give or to receive. Something precious for everyday.

All work is hand made in my South London studio, where I also provide a commission service, and the re-modelling or up-cycling of jewellery pieces.
